Carmel Snow, is an 3D knit designer + textile artist currently doing research with CNC knitting at MIT in Cambridge USA. She is coming back to Berlin this summer to teach a workshop with us at the Fab Lab.
Sign up and join her knitting workshop, within the course you will learn how knitted structures can be used to explore three-dimensional form.
Within 5 hours we will learn and creatively test structures with a diversity of materials + knits. The workshop will be divided into three parts focused on learning knit techniques, learning about other knit artists + Innovators, and experimenting with your own 3D knit art. Get inspired by other designers' work, learn how to arm knit, chord knit and machine knit and how those techniques can be activated to create new experimental materials.
You can bring your own materials or use materials provided by us.
We look forward to your experimental knitting projects and working with you !
The workshop will be in english.
